Financial Aid

Financial Aid comes in the form of Scholarships, Grants, and Loans.

Scholarships: Usually an award for academic or athletic excellence and does not need to be paid back.

Grants: Awarded by filling out the FAFSA and demonstrating financial need. 

Loans: Come from either the federal government by filling out the FAFSA or through private lenders such as banks and credit unions and must be paid back.

There are 2 types of student loans:

Subsidized - Does not collect interest while the student is in school
Unsubsidized - Collects interest from the beginning of the loan
